Magdalena Kracík Štorkánová is a mosaic artist, conservator-restorer and researcher based in Prague. Her practice spans traditional natural-stone mosaics, contemporary architectural commissions and monumental art, alongside the conservation, restoration and rescue of endangered historic mosaics. Educated at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague, with specialist training in Carrara, Spilimbergo and Florence, she combines traditional craftsmanship with conservation science and research. She founded Art a craft Mozaika in 2012 and is developing MONU, an institute dedicated to the preservation and future of monumental mosaic art.
